True North Legal goes to bat and wins for the freedoms of Minnesotans. Below are some of our success stories:
- TNL along with allied organization, Upper Midwest Law Center, is defending against overt religious discrimination in the workplace via a Title VII Religious Discrimination Claim on behalf of a Brookdale Senior Living Minnesota employee in the Sales and Marketing department. As the charge explains, the corporation allows religious exemptions from its vaccine mandate for Buddhists, and other faith groups, but not Christians. - TNL has provided legal counsel to individuals from all over Minnesota regarding mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policies when such policies conflict with an employee’s sincerely held religious beliefs. We are pleased to report that many of our clients’ requests for exemptions have been granted.
- TNL’s work providing legal counsel to parents and school boards regarding curriculum transparency and gender identity policies is ongoing. Need help, let us know!
- TNL’s general Counsel, Renee Carlson, co-authored an amicus brief with University of St. Thomas Law Professor Teresa Collett, in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the biggest pro-life case to date, clients included former VP Mike Pence’s new nonprofit and other family policy groups. Read it here.

- TNL successfully helped a local Minnesota church and their ministry partner Jon Just Ride, when they were told they could not have an outdoor worship service and ministry event in their own parking lot due to COVID restrictions. TNL stepped in and was able to advocate on behalf of the church. The church was able to host the event, raising a record number of donations. These donations were used to buy 49 motorbikes for pastors in Africa, used to cover ground and share the gospel. TNL is not only making a local impact, but a global impact! Watch the video here.
- TNL filed an Amicus brief on behalf of Dr. James Dobson and 26 family policy organizations, in the Supreme Court of the United States in the June Medical v. Russo case. Read it here.

We hope the court will use Dobbs v. Jackson to fundamentally alter abortion law in a direction that would safeguard the rights of children, and also the rights of women and girls.
